Getting off the ferry, there are beaches either side the terminal. This forms Manly Cove and they are safe for swimming. Following the signs down the Corso and you come to the main Manly beach. About 1.5k long, it is split into 3 parts, South Steyne, North Steyne and Queenscliff at the northern end. The Harbour Beaches offer shelter when the wind is blowing onshore. Shelly Beach is backed by bushland. Walk up the track for spectacular views. Shelly Beach featues free BBQ’s, A cafe, toilets, great snorkelling and scuba diving as well as the famous Bower Resaurant. Little Manly Beach is a favourite for families. Features a netted swimming area and kiosk to buy food, ice cream and coffee. There is also a boat ramp. Collins Beach is accessible by a walking track which passes Jump Rock. There are no facilities. There is a small waterfall at the back and the beach is surrounded by bush land. Store Beach is only really accessible by water although you can get to it at low tide by walking around the rocks at low tide from Collins Beach. Quarantine Station Beach is accessible from the station itself. Delwood beach is small and secluded. Fairlight Beach has toilet facilites and a swimming pool built into the rocks and is another favourite snorkelling and scuba diving spot. Forty Baskets beach has BBQ facilities and a netted safe swimming area. Reef Beach is surrounded by bushland.
